A quick little side note...I
know many of you have already read most of this newsletter.
I brilliantly started creating it in place of my old newsletter!
So the *new* newsletter has been live for awhile now. I
have added a few new tidbits this morning though. :o)
I can't believe it's been so
long again! I don't know why it seems the time just slips
away from me. Well...happy belated New Year and
Valentine's Day and Happy Mother's Day! I do hope you had a lovely first part of
the year.
Our sweetie boys
are growing like weeds and homeschooling, while always a bit of
a challenge, has been fun. Tying shoes, telling time,
counting money, sounding out words...all too much fun!
Swimming lessons are going well...our littlest one still has a
bit of trouble staying on the wall while waiting for the
teacher. But other than having to stay on the wall and
wait for their turn the boys are just in love with swimming
lessons.
We just took a few family trips.
It was far too much fun!
After the last couple of years when cancer has touched our
family and my surgery for tumors on my thyroid last January, we
decided that life was too short and that we wanted to make
memories with our boys NOW.
In March we
traveled to a place up by Frazier Park, California in the
mountains. I found an AMAZING vacation rental house up
there. My hubby's parents, my parents, my big sis and we
all headed up there for a nice little chunk of time.
We turned it into a "crafter's paradise". Some of
the crafts we are attempted were...
jewelry making
(duh), creating organic chocolate truffles (YUMM), silk
painting, embossing, card making, rubber stamping...hee hee!
It snowed the most they've seen in four years. We had rare
"thunder snow", my big sister gave me a massage for my belated
Christmas present (the BEST I've ever had). We snuggled,
sled, walked and sat by the fire. What fun we had!
We just returned
from a homeschooling conference in Sacramento last weekend.
I had a blast! My hubby took the boys hiking around the
river and over rocks and through the gardens while I was in
class.
Then next
January/February we will be jetting off to Oahu!!! I have
wanted to do this for YEARS. I found a beautiful little
house on the North Shore...it is literally 20 steps out the back
door across the grass to the beach. We will be spending
almost 5
blissful weeks with the boys enjoying the surf and sand.
My dear hubby and I will be taking surfing lessons and the boys
are convinced they want to surf as well. We'll be just a
couple of miles from the local farmer's market and Macadamia Nut
Farm...fresh, organic, locally grown produce. Need I say
more. I can't wait! This is part of my new found
exercise obsession...I am determined to be able to wear a
swimsuit on the beach without whale warnings being sounded!! ;o)
I turned 34 in
January and my hubby turned 38 in February. We are getting so old. LOL
Sometimes it seems that we can actually watch the sand speeding
through the hourglass.
I do hope you and
your family are doing well! I wish you a wonderfully
joyful, healthful, peaceful New Year (well 3/4 of the year
anyway).
Blessings from our
Family to Yours,
